As Resident Engineer - Civil - Cable in our Transmission & Distribution department, you will be responsible for supervising and managing all civil engineering activities related to underground cable works for high-voltage power transmission projects. You will ensure that design, construction, and installation meet the technical, contractual, and quality requirements of the project while maintaining safety and environmental standards.Your key responsibilities
- Oversee civil works for high-voltage underground cable installations, including trenching, ducting, and cable laying.
- Monitor the contractor's progress and ensure compliance with project specifications, standards, and schedules.
- Conduct site inspections and quality checks on civil works and materials.
- Coordinate with design teams, contractors, and clients to resolve technical and construction issues.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental requirements at all times.
- Prepare site reports, progress updates, and non-conformance reports (NCRs) as required.
- Review and approve method statements, drawings, and material submittals related to civil works.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (approved by the Saudi Council of Engineers).
- Minimum 12 years' experience in civil engineering, with at least 8 years in underground cable projects for high-voltage transmission systems.
- Experience in utility infrastructure projects within the GCC is preferred.
- Strong leadership and coordination skills for managing site teams and contractors.
- Proficient in reviewing civil designs, construction methodologies, and quality standards.
- Knowledge of international and local civil engineering codes and standards.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Problem-solving mindset and proactive approach to challenges.
- Ability to work under pressure and in multicultural environments.
