In this role, the incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and compliant operation of warehouse activities in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. This includes inventory control, material handling, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) compliance, personnel supervision, and coordination with production, QA, and supply chain, Safety teams.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee receipt, storage, issuance, and dispatch of raw materials, packaging materials, intermediates, and finished goods.
Ensure proper segregation, labeling, and handling of pharmaceutical materials in line with GMP and GDP (Good Distribution Practices) standards.
Maintain warehouse layout for optimal storage and retrieval.
Ensure all operations comply with GMP, GDP, WHO, FDA, MHRA, or local regulatory authority standards.
Maintain up-to-date SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and ensure team compliance.
Oversee documentation of all transactions, inventory movements, deviations, and audits.
Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and full physical stock takes.
Coordinate with procurement and production teams to manage stock levels and avoid shortages or overstock.
Implement FEFO/FIFO methods for inventory management.
Supervise and train warehouse staff on GMP practices, safety procedures, and SOPs.
Assign duties, monitor performance, and ensure efficient workforce utilization.
Enforce warehouse safety standards and hygiene protocols.
Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Production departments to resolve quality issues.
Manage ERP/SAP or eWMS (Warehouse Management System) for real-time inventory control.
Generate and analyze reports on warehouse KPIs.
CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION
Bachelors degree in Pharmacy, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
Minimum 710 years of warehouse experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role in the pharmaceutical industry.
Strong knowledge of GMP/GDP requirements.
Experience with ERP/eWMS systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Knowledge, Key Skills & Competencies
Certification in Supply Chain (e.g., APICS, CPIM) or GMP training.
Experience with cold chain and controlled substance storage
