- Executing materials and corrosion analysis/studies under the supervision of the Asset Integrity Manger and governance of the Chief Discipline Engineer (CDE)
- Project Management of small projects
- Executing plant / pressurised static assets integrity (FFS / RBI) assessments under the supervision of the Project Manager and governance of the Chief Discipline Engineer (CDE)
- Providing guidance to a team of young engineers on assets corrosion analysis, FFS and RBI.
- Should be able to produce detailed calculations as and when required
- Producing high quality deliverables as part of the project
- Be competent to check and QAQC calculations and reports produced by other engineers related to corrosion analysis, materials selection and FFS / RBI
- Knowledge of CP systems performance analysis and design
- Corrosion management performance review and preparation of corrosion management reports
- Ensure that corrosion monitoring can fit into the general basis of design and safe operations plans.
- Provide and report assurance that assets and processes will be in the best possible position for online and intrusive corrosion monitoring.
- New projects corrosion monitoring review and recommendations
- Review of existing and future corrosion monitoring facilities
- Use of corrosion modelling software Electronic Corrosion Engineer (ECE-5) or equivalent for corrosion rate calculation.
- Review Chemical Treatment existing requirements and advise any required changes.
- Preservation and Mothballing requirements
- Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental Management System must be implemented within the area of operation as per the company approved procedures and ISO Standards
- Knowledge of materials behaviours and corrosion analysis
- Experience in materials selection for Oil and Gas assets
- Use of industry recognized software for corrosion rate analysis
- High level of experience in pipeline integrity assessments based on industry standards (DNVGL-RP-F101, ASME B31G, ISO 12747)
- Familiar with reviewing inspection data (DCVG, CIP’s ILI)
- Track record of conducting pipeline FFS and life extension studies
- Familiar with typical engineering deliverables of materials and corrosion for greenfield development studies (conceptual, FEED, detailed engineering)
- Knowledge of CP systems performance analysis and design
- Knowledge of FFS relevant codes and standards (API 579, ASME B31G etc.)
- High level of computer literacy with MS Office (specifically Word & Excel) and experience of other specific analysis software packages (Corrdata or equivalent, MathCAD, Abaqus, Caesar, Autopipe etc.).
- Electronic Corrosion Engineer (ECE-5) or equivalent for corrosion rate calculation.
- Good communication skills in English, verbal and written
- Minimum 5 years discipline engineering experience in the Oil and Gas
- Bachelor’s degree qualification in Materials Science or similar. Master’s degree is an advantage
- NACE accreditation is required
- Professional membership with an engineering institute (NACE or MICorr)
