- Conduct safety inspections and gas checks in line with project schedules.
- Ensure proper implementation of permit-to-work systems on assigned sites.
- Monitor compliance with OH&S requirements and project-specific safety plans.
- Drive safety awareness initiatives and encourage positive safety culture.
- Support accident investigations, root cause analysis, and report preparation.
- Identify opportunities for safety improvements and corrective actions.
- Liaise with project managers, contractors, and clients on safety matters.
- Assist with employee safety training and briefing sessions.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports for project management.
- Provide support to the Emergency Response Team (ERT) during emergencies.
- NEBOSH International General Certificate or equivalent recognized diploma in health and safety.
- Proven knowledge in safety risk assessment and accident investigation.
- Experience in safety inspections, planning, and organizing HSE activities.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Safety Inspector or in a similar role.
- Industry experience in ship repair, rig repair, conversion, or offshore construction is required.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
