- Greet and assist guests in a warm, professional manner upon arrival at recreational areas such as the beach, pool, fitness center, or activity zones.
- Coordinate and facilitate scheduled guest activities, games, or wellness sessions as outlined in the recreation program.
- Maintain the cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation of all recreational areas, including poolside, beach furniture, and locker facilities.
- Provide clear and accurate information about recreational offerings, schedules, and amenities.
- Anticipate guest needs by proactively offering assistance and engaging in courteous, personalized interactions.
- Respond promptly and efficiently to any guest concerns or incidents, escalating to supervisors when necessary.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and recreational zones to ensure functionality and safety.
- Support the Recreation Supervisor and other team members in planning and executing special events or VIP experiences.
- Uphold all safety protocols, lifeguarding standards (if certified), and emergency procedures.
- Ensure towels, water, and amenities are consistently replenished and available for guests.
- Assist in maintaining inventory of recreational supplies and report low stock levels in a timely manner.
- Foster a positive and energetic atmosphere that aligns with the Waldorf Astoria brand experience.
- Energetic, approachable, and enthusiastic personality with a genuine passion for creating memorable leisure experiences.
- Knowledge of recreational facilities, fitness activities, games, and wellness offerings, with the ability to provide clear instructions and ensure guest safety.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage activity schedules, bookings, and guest participation effectively.
- A polished and professional appearance, consistently upholding luxury hospitality grooming standards.
- Ability to remain attentive, proactive, and guest-focused while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle guest concerns with empathy, discretion, and efficiency.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as business levels require.
- Basic first aid, CPR, or lifeguard certification would be a strong advantage.
