- Develop and execute business development strategies to capture new opportunities in the hospitality sector.
- Identify and pursue high-value projects, partnerships, and market segments aligned with Parsons' capabilities.
- Monitor competitive activities, market trends, and pricing strategies to position Parsons effectively.
- Utilize CRM tools and market analytics to track leads, analyze trends, and refine business development strategies.
- Lead the preparation and submission of client proposals, ensuring alignment with client needs and Parsons' strengths.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., operations, marketing) to gather relevant information and develop compelling proposals.
- Present proposals to clients and lead negotiations to secure favorable terms and agreements.
- Ensure contracts are prepared, reviewed, and approved in compliance with company policies.
- Conduct in-depth research to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and challenges in the hospitality industry.
- Recommend new services, solutions, or geographical markets for expansion based on market demands.
- Represent Parsons at hospitality industry events, conferences, and trade shows to build relationships and promote the company’s expertise.
- Develop and inspire a high-performing business development team, fostering collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
- Mentor and guide business development representatives and proposal teams to achieve departmental goals.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts to ensure seamless execution of business development strategies.
- Leverage internal and external relationships to strengthen Parsons' position in the hospitality sector.
- Maintain ongoing relationships with clients post-award to ensure satisfaction, identify additional opportunities, and strengthen long-term partnerships.
- Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery and client retention.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Marketing, Architecture, or a related field. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 20 years of experience in business development, sales, or client relationship management, with a strong focus on the hospitality industry.
- Extensive knowledge of the hospitality sector, including market trends, client needs, and competitive dynamics.
- Proven experience in managing complex bids and securing high-value projects.
- Strong understanding of proposal pricing, contract negotiations, and business objectives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to deliver impactful presentations.
- Proficiency in CRM tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and industry-specific software.
