MEP Design Engineer- Electrical will play a pivotal role in the design phase of MEP projects, providing efficient design and engineering of electrical systems as per local codes and standards.Job Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with project teams to understand project requirements and objectives. Develop Electrical Lighting, Small Power and ELV systems design plans, specifications, and schematics for construction projects
  • Perform Electrical system calculations for the buildings and decide the sizing and type of cables, lighting and other devices for the reliable Lighting, Small Power and ELV systems for Residential, Commercial and Industrial buildings.
  • Develop detailed design calculations and drawings for Electrical Lighting, Small Power and ELV systems procurements and installations.
  • Develop comprehensive Electrical Lighting, Small Power and ELV systems designs, that meet project requirements and adhere to local building codes and industry standards
  • Prepare and maintain detailed Electrical Lighting, Small Power and ELV systems design documentation, including drawings, schematics, riser diagrams, cable schedules, equipment schedules, and technical reports
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, electrical engineer and other team members to integrate Electrical Lighting, Small Power and ELV systems with other building services effectively
  • Incorporate energy-efficient technologies and practices into Electrical Lighting, Small Power and ELV systems designs to minimize environmental impact and reduce operational costs
  • Ensure that all Electrical Lighting, Small Power and ELV systems designs comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standard
  • Provide technical support during the construction phase, including responding to RFI (Request for Information) ensure proper installation and performance of Electrical Lighting, Small Power and ELV systems
  • Conduct quality checks to verify the accuracy and completeness of Electrical Lighting, Small Power and ELV systems design plans
Job RequirementsQualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
Experience
  • 5 years' experience as an Electrical Design Engineer in MEP Projects
Knowledge & Skills
  • Strong proficiency in design software or tools for MEP installations.
  • Familiarity with MEP systems and terminology, as well as understanding of construction practices and building codes
  • Strong knowledge of Electrical Lighting, Small Power and ELV systems, components, and equipment. Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and industry standards
