This critical role is responsible for the full lifecycle of environmental systems engineering across our UAV platforms, including system design, thermal analysis, environmental qualification, and regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will ensure optimal performance of environmental systems such as thermal management, payload conditioning, and contamination control under varied operational scenarios and challenging environments.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and develop environmental control system (ECS) architecture, requirements, and interfacesLead the design and integration of thermal management, airflow, insulation, and contamination control systemsPerform thermal simulations and environmental modeling to assess heat transfer, temperature stability, and environmental loadsCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless system integration across airframe, avionics, and mechanical domainsDefine and execute test plans including thermal cycling, vibration testing, and environmental stress screeningEnsure systems comply with standards such as MIL-STD-810, DO-160, AS9100, and GCAA regulationsPrepare technical documentation for certification, audits, and internal design reviewsMentor junior engineers and drive innovation in environmental and thermal system technologiesEngage with external partners and suppliers to evaluate advanced solutions and componentsRequired QualificationsEducation:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Environmental Engineering (required)Master's degree in Thermal Sciences or Aerospace Systems Engineering (preferred)Experience:10+ years of aerospace or defense experience in environmental or thermal systemsProven experience working with UAVs, aircraft ECS, or payload thermal management systemsCertifications (preferred):INCOSE ASEP/CSEPThermal or environmental certifications (e.g., AIAA, ASHRAE)AS9100D/ISO 9001 quality system awarenessTechnical ToolsSimulation: ANSYS Thermal, Thermal Desktop, Fluent CFD, MATLABDesign: Experience with heat exchangers, airflow systems, insulation, and HVAC subsystemsSystems Engineering: DOORS, PolarionTesting Standards: MIL-STD-810, DO-160, GCAA environmental complianceIdeal AttributesStrong analytical and simulation skills with attention to system-level integrationClear communicator across multidisciplinary teams and technical domainsProactive, adaptable, and capable of driving initiatives independentlyStrategic thinker with the ability to balance design constraints and operational realitiesLeadership mindset with the ability to guide teams and mentor junior engineersWhy Join ADASIAt ADASI, you'll work with some of the brightest minds in the defense and aerospace industry.
