- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements relevant to the water and power industries.
- Develop and maintain corporate governance policies, ensuring they are up-to-date with evolving regulations.
- Provide advisory support to senior leadership on governance issues and establish best practices.
- Conduct periodic audits, assessments, and reviews of governance processes and compliance standards.
- Lead and manage governance documentation, ensuring accuracy, security, and accessibility.
- Supervise and mentor a team of governance professionals, fostering a strong compliance culture within the organization.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Corporate Governance, or a related field. A Master’s degree (e.g., MBA, LLM) or professional certifications (e.g., ICSA, GRC) are highly advantageous.
- Experience:
- 8-12 years in corporate governance, legal advisory, or compliance roles.
- 4-6 years of experience specific to corporate governance, ideally within the water and power sectors.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership and team management capabilities.
- In-depth knowledge of corporate governance frameworks, legal compliance, and regulatory standards.
- Proficiency in governance software, document management systems, and standard office applications.
