Role & responsibilities:
  • Design low-level architecture for HCI deployments, including compute, storage, cluster layout, network topology, and data protection, aligned with security, performance, and scalability standards.
  • Define high availability, disaster recovery, backup, and snapshot strategies.
  • Prepare integration plans for container platforms, storage, and backup solutions, plus network documentation (VLANs, link aggregation, DNS/NTP, DHCP, IP schema).
  • Lead installation, configuration, and validation of HCI environments across Production, DR, Pre-Production, and Development, including container orchestration clusters, storage services, and workload integration.
  • Implement and test DR replication, backup policies, and infrastructure resilience through UAT, failover, and failback.
  • Document architecture diagrams, build guides, and deployment runbooks.
  • Manage delivery timelines, milestones, resources, and dependencies for hardware and infrastructure readiness.
  • Coordinate with vendors, track risks, conduct stakeholder reviews, and manage scope changes via formal processes.
Candidate requirements:
  • 10+ years of infrastructure delivery experience with at least 2 full-cycle HCI implementations.
  • Proven expertise in IBM Storage Fusion HCI, Red Hat OpenShift, and Ceph Storage.
  • Hands-on experience with OpenShift cluster design and deployment, CEPH installation and storage configuration, Storage backup (Spectrum Protect or similar)
  • Experience in VMware/KVM hypervisors is preferred
  • Familiarity with container-native storage and CSI drivers for PVC integration.
  • Ability to translate business continuity requirements into DR and backup architectures.
  • Strong documentation skills - LLDs, HLDs, UAT plans.
