- Participate in developing plans to upgrade operating systems and associated office automation software.
- Contribute to desktop support end-user hardware acquisition plans.
- Coordinate with work associates, network/system support engineers, and application senior analysts to identify system/operations issues.
- Identify and agree on scheduling priorities for resolving system problems, minimizing business impact.
- Ensure deployment of PCs, laptops, network and standalone printers, and other IT client hardware.
- Ensure timely upgrades of client operating systems and desktop applications.
- Carry out troubleshooting tasks to resolve IT client-related problems on hardware, operating systems, and desktop applications.
- Analyze and resolve service/change requests and user-reported problems escalated by the IT helpdesk.
- Ensure proper security setup of end-user desktops and enforce company/client policies.
- Manage and maintain email and Active Directory support functions.
- Assess vendors against requirements, geographic fit, vendor viability, and technology risks.
- Develop on-the-job training programs for UAE nationals using the Competency Management System (CAMS).
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written) with customers, co-workers, and business contacts in a professional manner.
- Ability to work accurately under time constraints and deadlines.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents and reports.
- Commitment to safe and effective working practices.
- 5–8 years of IT work experience in IT hardware/software environments.
