- Clear and constant communication with Business Development (BD) leaders, weekly BD meeting/reporting (via salesforce) with senior staff
- Know the firm's portfolio in detail, understand practice area capabilities, actively seek out firm's best practices for use in office PA efforts
- Conduct internal and external research on new opportunities, prospective clients and practice areas
- Lead strategy meetings with BD champions
- Create pitch strategy/budget with BD champion including research, network mapping, tasks/milestones, reviews and delivers pitch strategy throughout process
- Research targets, internal relationships, company history, market position; ensure client or 3rd party Q&A and site visits
- Conceptualize/write/design new material as needed to support marketing programs
- Manage daily workload/staffing for marketing team
- Support regional marketing initiatives as part of the senior members of the marketing team in APME
- Be the point person responsible for Middle East for global-related projects (permissions, publications, submissions, etc.)
- Seek out and implement process and content improvements
- Coach peers on new ideas and best practices
- Mentor and train junior team members while also inspiring them to be proactive in their own professional development
- Maintain consistency of marketing deliverables, alignment with firm brand program, participate in design reviews with the global and regional marketing team
- Maintain resources & information systems: ordering materials, updating project documentation, resumes, image libraries, support award submissions
- Oversee local PR & communications efforts including: media, events, sponsorships, and photography
- Lead local internal communications as relevant
- Support Gensler sustainability goals. Especially on topics relevant to your day-to-day duties
- Engage and collaborate with the larger team on sustainability efforts and initiatives
- Research and implement ways to optimize our internal workflow environmental impact
- Other responsibilities as assigned
- 10+ years of professional experience in a marketing role, preferably for an architecture, design, engineering, construction, or industry-related firm
- Bachelor’s degree in, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Graphic Design, Architecture, or adjacent field
- Proven experience leading and managing bids, proposals, and qualifications packages — including developing win strategies, storytelling, and partnering closely with leadership and project team. This role requires hands-on experience in BD-driven environments
- Experience in strategically partnering and supporting senior staff on business-critical projects
- Strong graphic design sensibility and written/verbal communication skills
- Experience managing significant marketing projects independently, working closely with senior staff and leadership on marketing initiatives
- Experience managing a team – hiring, training, mentorship, and leading talent
- Self-motivator with strong interpersonal skills; a great collaborator
- Ability to lead BD conversations confidently and strategically and collaborate closely with leadership on win strategy and storytelling
- Creative and impactful graphic design skills, including creating effective presentations and marketing collateral
- Strong organizational skills to coordinate and manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Ability to work with diverse project teams and in a fast-paced work environment
- Fluent in InDesign and Microsoft Office. Familiarity with other Adobe Creative Suite software, and Salesforce is a plus
- Basic understanding of sustainable design and operations is preferred
