Kitchen Steward - Back of House Operations and Hygiene (Mövenpick by Accor Dubai)

• Arrive on time and ready for each scheduled shift
• Break down and clean dishwashing machines thoroughly during and after service
• Change dish machine water and debris baskets hourly for optimal performance
• Keep chemical levels maintained and report low stock to supervisors
• Refresh wash, rinse, and sanitizer tanks in the three-compartment sink regularly
• Ensure sanitizer test strips are available and follow hygiene standards
• Keep sink shelves dry and organized, and handwashing stations fully stocked
• Maintain clean, orderly dish stations with a tidy soil table for efficient operations
• Empty trash and recycling bins on schedule and as needed
• Clean soaking basins and store non-food orders and BOH supplies systematically
• Maintain a clean slop sink, glass rack area, and assist with kitchen equipment organization
• Follow all opening and closing procedures assigned by supervisors

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a steward or similar role preferred
• Physically fit with the ability to lift kitchen equipment and stand for long periods
• Strong work ethic, reliable time management, and willingness to follow cleaning schedules
• Comfortable working weekends and public holidays
• Basic communication skills in English (verbal and written)
• Able to work as part of a team and maintain positive relationships with colleagues
