Represent himself/herself on organisation’s behalf in legal affairs in the court of law
Provide prompt and accurate legal advice to the Board Committees and Senior Management in regards to corporate legal matters, outline legal implications of the issues that the organization and its entities face while carrying out its business and suggest alternatives, if necessary, to ensure organization’s interests are protected against any potential legal risk/liability and/or detrimental reputational risks
Provide legal services in a timely, proactive and efficient manner to all levels of the business, primarily in areas such as information technology, intellectual property, confidentiality agreements, contract management and any other practice areas allocated by the Board or Managing Director
Manage corporate legal affairs i.e. legal work related to companies’ structure, authority instruments such as Powers of Attorney, Delegation of Authorities, commercial licenses and commercial law compliance
Managing legal matters related to intellectual property, human resources and employment including review of policies and procedures
Review and update standard contract templates and legal documents, depending inter alia on the needs of the business, change in legislation and legal risk analysis
Anticipate legal risks to organization and its entitie’s various activities and brief the Board and Managing Director on significant matters as necessary
Provide advice on complex legal matters and develop risk mitigation and dispute prevention strategy for the third parties, organization and its entities interact with in relation to corporate affairs business
Review and monitor legal due diligence conducted for expansions and setting up of new entities
Assist relevant managers of organization and its entities in negotiations with third parties providing advice on the legal implications and options for concluding the negotiations with maximum protection of organization’s interest
Monitor and report on key legal matters, material issues and relevant legal developments within the UAE
