- Prepare and produce a wide range of pastries, breads, and desserts to the highest standards, ensuring visual appeal and flavor.
- Collaborate with the head chef and culinary team on menu development and seasonal dessert offerings.
- Oversee the daily operations of the pastry kitchen and ensure the smooth running of all dessert services.
- Train and mentor junior pastry staff, providing guidance on techniques and presentation.
- Maintain inventory levels, ordering ingredients as necessary and ensuring all products meet quality standards.
- Implement and uphold hygiene and food safety standards within the pastry kitchen.
- Stay updated on pastry trends and innovate new recipes to enhance the dessert menu.
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Chef De Partie in Pastry, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort setting.
- Culinary school diploma or equivalent experience in pastry arts.
- Strong creative flair and a passion for producing high-quality desserts and pastries.
- Excellent attention to detail, presentation skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively lead and foster team collaboration.
- Thorough understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
