Job Description: Description of activities and key responsibilities of the functionReading and interpreting blueprints or drawings.Aligning, positioning, and securing steel bars or mesh in concrete forms.Installing anchors, supports, and reinforcements as per the blueprints or drawings.Inspecting the structures and work areas for safety.Operating heavy machinery and equipment.Maintaining and handling efficiently any tools, materials and equipment issued at the site.Working at heights and in various weather conditions.Communicating with team members and supervisors.Following safety regulations and guidelines.Completing tasks within the given deadline.Follow work life safety guidelines in the working area, working hours, break hours, company rules and regulations.Executing the daily tasks assigned by the project engineers, site supervisors, foreman , and erection leadman based on target timings for specific tasks.Assisting in setting the mobile crane position.Check the lifting device such as chain sling and hook and other materials needed for erectionCoordinates with the assigned foreman regarding any obstructions that may affect the targetSchedule and do necessary actions if needed.Responsible to check tools and materials for the erection of precast elements.Responsible for returning any excess materials to the store.Maintain good public relations with assigned foreman & engineers in the project.Responsible for the validity of competence and skillset-based certificates provided by the company. Notify the project engineer if the certificate is about to expire to ensure timely renewal.Take reasonable care for the health and safety of himself/herself and others who may be affected by their acts or omissionsCooperate with anything the employer does to comply with OHS requirements.Comply with HSE requirements communicated in HSE induction, Procedures, and policies.Lead as an example in front of workers by not violating any rules and correcting unsafe actions and conditions.Attend Group Safety Meetings, HSE Campaigns & committee meetings as and when required.Report unsafe acts and conditions to the HSE dept. using Intelex or booklets provided to you and monitor your targets and KPIs.Do not carry out any task if you are not trained or authorized to do so, and make sure the workers working under you are following the same.Participate in weekly or monthly HSE walkthroughs with your area HSE staff as per the plans.Educational Qualifications & Certifications:Higher secondary school diploma or equivalent.Relevant experienceProven experience as a Steel Erector.Knowledge of construction methods and safety regulations.Ability to read and interpret blueprints or drawings.Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy materials.Excellent problem-solving skills.Ability to work in a team.Good communication skills.Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.Function specific experience2 years of project related ExperienceIndustry related experience2 years of Precast Industry ExperienceTotal Years of experience2 YearsOthersRole Specific CompetenciesBlueprint ReadingSafety RegulationsLanguage skillsRequired: English
