Performs ECG tests on patients
Escorts patients into treatment room and transports equipment to patient’s bedside
Explains test procedures to patient and answers questions
Applies electrode tabs and electrodes to patient’s chest and limbs and removes upon test completion
Ensures that rooms are stocked with linens and machine supplies
Maintains cleanliness in treatment rooms
Operates electrocardiograph machines to record electromotive variations
Inputs patient demographic data into computer
Charts preliminary report in patient’s medical record
Documents applicable notes on ECG records and reconciles master log and requisitions

Experience and Education Requirements:
Minimum of two (2) years experience as an ECG technician is required
Completion of a two (2) year certificate or diploma program in Medical Sciences or Allied Health, with evidence of formal ECG training, is required
