Client: Government EntityPayroll: SundusJob Summary:We are seeking an experienced Oiler to join our DP-2 class offshore construction vessels. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, lubrication, and machinery monitoring tasks within the engine department, supporting safe and efficient vessel operations.Key Responsibilities:
- Perform lubrication and routine maintenance of all engine room equipment and machinery as per the Chief Engineer's instructions.
- Assist with start-up, shutdown, and operational checks of main and auxiliary engines.
- Monitor oil levels, pressures, and temperatures, and report anomalies immediately.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of engine room spaces.
- Assist engineers with troubleshooting and repair work.
- Maintain oil record books and machinery logs as required.
- Follow company safety protocols, environmental policies, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Participate in emergency drills and safety meetings as per ISM/ISPS codes.
- Operate under DP vessel safety protocols, especially during critical operations.
- Valid STCW Certificate of Competency (COC) III/5 – Able Seafarer Engine (National or IMO Whitelist Country).
- Valid seafarer documents (passport, medical, STCW certificates, etc.).
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience as Oiler on DP-2 vessels or similar offshore construction barges.
- Good understanding of mechanical systems, lubrication procedures, and marine safety standards.
- Familiarity with engine room watchkeeping and planned maintenance systems.
