Job DescriptionA growing tech business in Dubai is seeking a hands-on Financial Controller to lead its finance function. This is a key role in a lean team, offering the opportunity to shape and strengthen financial operations during a period of growth.The Role:The Financial Controller will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the finance function, including:
  • Full ownership of month-end close, including P&L, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis
  • Preparing and managing budgets and rolling forecasts
  • Overseeing VAT filings and coordinating corporate tax submissions
  • Developing and maintaining financial controls, policies, and procedures
  • Monitoring cash flow, opex, and capex
  • Managing and mentoring one direct report
  • Liaising with external auditors, banks, and stakeholders on finance matters and ad-hoc projects
Responsibilities:
  • Qualified accountant with 5+ years' post-qualification experience
  • Previous experience in a similar, hands-on finance role - ideally within a tech or SME environment
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS, VAT, and UAE corporate tax
  • Proven ability to deliver accurate reporting, forecasts, and insights to senior stakeholders
  • Confident working in an ERP environment and improving finance processes
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
