To support the Risk team in the ongoing BAU and submissions. Main focus will center on engaging and following-up with country stakeholders on all Risk related matters.Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist in Technical / Risk review of key risk/governance papers.
- Assist in Implementation of Risk governance and target operating model in country
- Draft papers for various risk committees on key Risk matters.
- Assistance with preparation and risk analysis on key tasks e.g. issues, MI, RAS metrics, regulatory requests.
- Support Driving key initiatives across the risk function.
- Stakeholder communications.
- Requires close working relationship with all stakeholders at function, business, and region levels
- Possesses knowledge of risk strategy and operational risk concepts
- Able to act in an organized and timely manner.
- Support key tasks relating to risk management and associated stakeholder communication.
- Review papers for senior risk committees / forums, and track/manage actions.
- Draft papers/presentations for key meetings/committees as directed by the risk team.
- Support Defining and delivering an effective communications strategy for the risk team.
- Assists in the Preparation of risk Control Framework on a monthly basis along with the supporting documentation based on country outstanding issues and MI and by following up with bank wide stakeholders
- Support and Provide analysis on graphs and trends provided by the regional team and other FCR MI sources to highlight progress on issues by different Lob and functions
- Communicates deliverables and results to the team and the country stakeholders in a clear and effective manner
- Support team improvement through adoption of best practice and continued professional development
- Conducts activities that reflect the HSBC brand and values
- Graduation degree is REQUIRED- to secure a UAE Visa and Work Permit.
- Strong knowledge of risk concepts and standards
- Ability to analyze information and identify potential areas of concern that are fact-based
- Ability to learn and understand risk programs and operating environment
- Demonstrates ownership of topics and actively protects HSBC's reputation
- Works well across diverse team and is willing to assist others as needed
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills, both verbally and written
- Excellent understanding of data and systems
