- Develop and prepare structural design drawings, including general arrangements, foundations, steel structures, pipe racks, equipment supports, and other related facilities.
- Ensure designs comply with project specifications, industry codes (such as ACI, AISC, BS, ASTM), and client requirements.
- Work closely with Structural Engineers and other disciplines to ensure integrated design coordination.
- Generate and review 3D models and 2D drawings using AutoCAD, MicroStation, Smart 3D, and other relevant software.
- Interpret and implement engineering input and sketches into detailed structural drawings.
- Review vendor data and incorporate interface details into structural design packages.
- Participate in model reviews, design checks, and interdisciplinary coordination sessions.
- Assist in material take-offs and support preparation of construction packages.
- Provide input during constructability reviews and design optimizations.
- Ensure that all deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality.
- Diploma or Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
- 10+ years of experience in structural design, with at least 7 years in the engineering phase of onshore oil & gas projects.
- Strong knowledge of FEED and Detailed Engineering deliverables.
- Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, Smart 3D, STAAD, Navisworks, or equivalent.
- Experience working with international codes and standards (e.g., ACI, AISC, ASTM, ASCE).
- Experience with ADNOC or other major oil & gas clients is a plus.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under tight schedules and manage multiple priorities.
