Join us.Job DescriptionThis opportunity is part of AECOM's Fursa Program and open exclusively to UAE Nationals holding a valid family book.Join AECOM's Graduate Program!Join AECOM's 2025 Graduate Program as a Graduate Safety, Health & Environment Coordinator in our Dubai office, offering an exciting opportunity for a UAE National to support our Dubai office. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the highest standards of safety and environmental compliance across our projects. By collaborating with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders, you will learn how to implement and monitor SH&E requirements to ensure alignment with local regulations, project specifications, and AECOM's business standards.Key Responsibilities
  • Learn how field/project point of contacts assess Safety, Health & Environment (SH&E) matters at AECOM.
  • Assist in identifying and implementing SH&E requirements, ensuring alignment with local regulations, project specifications, and AECOM's business standards.
  • Shadow on-site/project SH&E liaison, learning about compliance and maintaining stakeholder alignment.
  • Assist with inspections of contractor activities, ensuring adherence to SH&E policies, plans, and contractual obligations.
  • Document and communicate inspection findings, facilitating prompt resolution through the project reporting system.
  • Coordinate and actively participate in SH&E meetings, potentially taking on chairing and record-keeping responsibilities.
  • Learn how to submit comprehensive safety inspection reports to the Resident Engineer and/or project leads, seeking necessary support.
  • Review and assess risk mitigation documentation, including plans, procedures, Safe Work Method Statements, and Risk Assessments.
  • Assist in the procedures to investigate incidents and near misses, following client and AECOM procedures, and implementing preventive measures.
  • Attend relevant training sessions, including risk assessment training, to enhance skills and knowledge.
QualificationsMinimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in SH&E, Engineering, Occupational Safety, or related field from an accredited University.
  • Candidates must be recent 2024 or 2025 graduates to be eligible for AECOM's Graduate Program.
  • Successful applicants must have achieved a minimum GPA of 2.8 (or equivalent) and above.
  • Available to start September 2025.
  • As part of AECOM's commitment to Emiratisation and in compliance with UAE labour law, only UAE Nationals with a family book will be considered for this role.
