- Supervise discipline production engineer including identification of production engineer resource needs for the project and communication of these regularly to the Division Production
- Understand the full contractual scope of work, contract type, and milestone schedule managing the progress and reporting on the project
- Review constructability and ensure the work execution plan is based on the most productive option
- Responsible for fabrication 4WLA including the prioritization of materials and drawings to suit and chairing the production 4WLA and forecast fabrication and engineering requirements to meet the project contract schedule
- Responsible for initiating and approving all revisions orders and change orders ensuring incorporation into the global lessons learned database
- Solve technical problems and initiate site queries to ensure work disruption is minimized and productivity is optimized
- Chair the weekly project production meeting, managing the project's weekly fabrication progress and productivity and ensure is within budget
- Manage any scope of work changes and ensure AFC estimate is up to date and that revision and change orders are initiated
- Appraise fabrication management of any project issues that affect the forecasted progress, productivity, and schedule commitments
- Develop a work pack index and set priorities and deliverable dates for the discipline teams
- Direct the discipline groups with all material ordering priorities and schedule dates to suit the fabrication sequence
- Direct material expediting reports and advise procurement personnel of any concerns and mitigation plans as necessary
- Authorize technical queries/correspondence to be issued to the client
- Develop a project fabrication execution plan that satisfies the contract requirements most productively
- Interface with other key project personnel such as project cost engineer, marine operations engineer, quality manager
- Lead project constructability program effort for fabrication
- Lead the Discipline Production Engineering team, Drafting Squad Leaders, Material Controllers, etc. to meet project fabrication requirements
- Manage inter/intra-functional interfaces at the discipline level for the fabrication portion of the project with minimal guidance
- Responsible for optimal utilization and development of the discipline team assigned on the project
- Establish a productive working relationship with Project Superintendents & Supervisions to ensure meeting the Fabrication Targets
- Ensure necessary documentation and compliance with procedural requirements throughout the project phases
- Interface for discipline-level requirements with key project personnel from various functions like Engineering, SCM, Quality, Cost control, Marine Operations, hook-up up etc. to meet priorities and schedule dates for project fabrication requirements
- Attend expediting meetings to communicate material delivery priorities, review and communicate Marine deliverables requirements to meet fabrication plan/ sequence
- Manage discipline level project fabrication progress within schedule and productivity within targeted budget in coordination with project Operations Engineer
- Support project Operation Engineer to manage inter/intra-functional interfaces and project reporting requirements like AFC estimate review, subcon coordination, project status reporting, developing fabrication sequence, conducting constructability reviews, etc.
- Lead project constructability reviews on a discipline level including resolution of construction problems with intra/ inter function interfaces
- Understand the overall project scope of work to lead and guide the discipline production engineering team to meet project fabrication deliverables in line with the fabrication sequence/ schedule
- Support the Fabrication Bid coordination efforts on assigned Bid projects supporting the Fab Bid Coordinator
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- 5+ years offshore and Petrochemical Industry
- Expertise in production engineering and optimization techniques
- Strong knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to production processes and facilities
- Proven track record in leading multidisciplinary teams and managing large-scale projects
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to address complex technical challenges
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools related to production engineering
- Technically capable of strategizing and delivering discipline-level fabrication efforts for complex EPIC projects
