- Support departments in developing cutting edge functional excellence and in developing leadership capabilities.
- Act as a change catalyst in the cultural and organizational transformation of the hotel.
- Drive Forbes Travel Guide training standards by embedding them into departmental learning programs and ensuring consistency in service delivery across the hotel.
- Provide key input of Training aspects for all activities and plans of the hotel.
- Manage the performance management and succession plan process.
- Support individual and team development, career development, and training and experience-based learning.
- Induct, coach, and mentor new Team Members and provide training regarding our guest satisfaction program.
- Interact with hotel leaders responsible for people development on a daily basis to provide support to operational departments.
- Partner with department to deliver training programs and other organizational and leadership development interventions.
- Monitor and conduct learning and development reviews with each department.
- Prepare annual training plans and training calendars for the hotel.
- Work closely with the Department Heads to formulate and agree on comprehensive training procedures to improve our guest satisfaction results and our online scores and position.
- Implement programs that allow the continuous improvement of processes.
- Enforcing the Language of Luxury that is relevant to each department.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role as Learning & Development Manager in a luxury hotel.
- Solid knowledge of Forbes standards is required.
- Previous experience in leading the partnership process with Forbes and achieving the Five-Star rating that verifies luxury hotels and elevate the guest experience.
- Thorough knowledge of modern learning and development tools and technique.
- Strong knowledge of statistics and ability to analyze and process information.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent people management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop interpersonal relationships.
- Committed to delivering a high level of customer service, both internally and externally.
- Excellent grooming standards.
- Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations.
- Ability to work on their own or in teams
- Proficiency with computers and computer programs, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint
- Tertiary qualifications, or other collegiate-level degree, in Training or Human Resources.
- Previous experience in UAE.
