Join us.Job DescriptionThis opportunity is part of AECOM’s Fursa Program and open exclusively to UAE Nationals holding a valid family book.Join AECOM's Graduate ProgramThe Graduate Consultant – Urban Advisory, will support the Urban Advisory and broader Urban + Planning (U+P) teams while actively participating in the Graduate Programme. The role will focus on developing core technical, business, and interpersonal skills, contributing to the design and delivery of products, processes, and methodologies that address both client and business needs.Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of designs, calculations, sketches, and project deliverables in line with discipline-specific requirements.
  • Support research tasks and ensure outputs align with project standards and objectives.
  • Produce high-quality graphical content for reports, diagrams, and models in agreed-upon formats.
  • Explore and test visual representation styles to effectively communicate ideas and concepts.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of physical and digital office libraries.
  • Assist in drafting written and visual content for reports and presentations.
  • Take meeting notes and prepare minutes in the required format.
  • Demonstrate a foundational understanding of the built environment and planning practices.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in various tools, including Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office, CAD, SketchUp, Rhino, and ArcGIS/QGIS.
  • Develop awareness of the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) and Safety in Design principles.
  • Applies foundational technical knowledge to complete design and documentation tasks under direct supervision.
  • Resolves routine problems using standard procedures and seeks guidance for more complex issues.
  • Support the team across a variety of tasks and project stages.
  • Bring fresh perspectives and creative thinking to enhance team outputs.
  • Show initiative in learning new tools and skills beyond your core discipline.
  • Embrace continuous learning and apply self-check and team quality procedures before submitting work.
  • Actively engage with the team, contributing ideas and challenging assumptions constructively.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Urban Planning from an accredited University
  • Candidates must be recent 2024 or 2025 graduates to be eligible for AECOM's Graduate Program.
  • Successful applicants must have achieved a minimum GPA of 2.8 (or equivalent) and above.
  • As part of AECOM’s commitment to Emiratisation and in compliance with UAE labour law, only UAE Nationals with a family book will be considered for this role.
