The Cashier is responsible for processing customer transactions accurately and efficiently, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a balanced cash register. The role involves handling cash, card payments, and receipts, ensuring the security of cash and valuables, and assisting customers with their purchases.Key Responsibilities:Greet customers warmly and assist with their purchases.
Process transactions accurately using the POS system.
Handle cash, credit/debit card payments, and issue receipts.
Give correct change and ensure cash register balance at the end of shifts.
Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
Assist in stocking shelves and maintaining product displays.
Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
Follow all cash handling, security, and safety procedures.
Record and report discrepancies or suspicious activities.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous cashier or retail experience preferred.
Basic math and computer skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to handle stressful situations and work in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
