You are an experienced consultant with a solid foundation built within a top-tier consulting firm, skilled in business development, project delivery, and team leadership. You bring not only technical depth but also a sharp commercial mindset, capable of driving growth and building strong client relationships.
Education & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or Economics from a top-tier college.
- CA/CIA with a commerce background and industry specialization preferred.
- Postgraduate in Finance, Strategy, Operations, Economics, Petroleum, or equivalent from a top-tier institution.
- Minimum 14 years of relevant experience, ideally in internal audit, consulting, advisory, professional services, or industry; currently with a leading consulting firm.
- Strong internal audit background preferred, with additional skills in BPI, process improvement, transformation, or digital implementation.
- Experience in the power, oil & gas, or utility sector is mandatory-especially across multiple areas such as E&P, service/construction, refining, pipelines, LNG, gas, fertilizers, petrochemicals, UCG, CBM, and non-conventional gas (e.g., shale).
In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and developing business opportunities, delivering high-impact internal audit and consulting solutions, and growing the firm's footprint across the Energy & Utilities sector. Some of the key responsibilities of this role are:
- Identify and evaluate client's risk areas covering all significant processes and provide comprehensive input to the development of a risk-based annual internal audit plan.
- Supervise a team of internal audit personnel across different client engagements. Plan, organize, direct and monitor internal audit operations, including overall quality of deliverables, processes and completion of projects within budgeted timeline. Oversee billing and collections.
- Develop relevant audit programs & procedures including Risk & Control Matrix (RCM).
- Manage performance of audit procedures. This includes identifying and defining issues, developing criteria, reviewing and analyzing evidence, and documenting client processes and procedures. Demonstrate technical competence in related domain.
- Monitor projects are delivered as per set timelines.
- Communicate the results of assignments through written reports and oral presentations on a timely basis to client management, including presentations to the Audit committees and at Board meetings..
- Assist engagement director with identification for any new firm services at existing or new clients. Prepare and track proposals and conduct proposal meetings with clients. Responsible for developing and growing business and managing portfolio of clients.
- Developing strong relationships with top executives at prospects (target clients) and existing clients.
- Ensure firm is included in responses to key industry and solution RFP's in the region.
- Build a strong network of contacts and leverage it for business development.
- Develop and engage teams through individual contacts and group meetings. Assist with hiring, training, and evaluation of staff and take effective actions to address performance.
- Support practice management including work in progress monitoring, proposal development and monitoring of performance against the business plan. Lay down processes for improvement as well as strengthen the practice in the region.
- Represent the firm at various industry and professional forums.
- Conduct learning sessions and develop knowledge sharing forums with other functions within the firm as well as with clients.
