Job DescriptionJob PurposePlan and conduct the internal audit engagements to ensure compliance with established policies, regulatory requirements and industry standards.Key ResponsibilitiesStrong knowledge and Audit experience of Treasury Front Office, Investments, Middle Office, Market/Liquidity Risk, Treasury Operations and Financial Controls.Hands-on experience in Basel, ILAAP, ICAAP, Stress Testing Audits.Develop audit programs to verify and ensure the organization complies with all the relevant laws and regulations. Keep abreast of changes in regulations and adapt audit plans accordingly.Conduct audits, ensure that professional standards are maintained, and all assigned audit steps are executed within the approved time budget.Examine and identify areas for improvement and operational efficiencies based on audit findings and industry best practices and determine adequacy of system of control.Evaluate and identify potential risks or areas of non-compliance, recommend risk mitigation strategies.Prepare and present audit findings, recommendations and reports to GIA senior management.Review the work performed by the audit team and verify deliverables to ensure the audit objectives are achieved, and completeness of audit documentation as per the GIA methodology.Follow-up with auditee to get an update on the audit action plan and appraise the adequacy of corrective actions taken to mitigate the risks.Maintain quality in carrying out audit assignments to ensure performance of all audits, at a high level of efficiency and effectiveness as per the requirements of the Quality Assurance Program.Foster a culture of learning and development within the audit team; provide coaching and mentoring to team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.Advise management on new developments that affect portfolio/control and provides solution proactively. Communicate complex technical audit concepts in a clear and concise manner to non-technical stakeholders.Leverage technology solutions and foster innovation to enhance GIA efficiency and effectiveness.Competencies/SkillsEducationMinimum Bachelor’s DegreeProfessional Certificate (CFA, FRM & CA etc.) or Pursuing CFA/FRM is an advantage.Work ExperienceMinimum 4 - 6 Years of auditing financial/other sectors - preferably three years in a banking environment with a strong knowledge of Treasury and Risk Audits.
