- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical, emotional, and spiritual needs
- Develop and implement individualized care plans using evidence-based palliative practices
- Provide expert consultation to other healthcare professionals on complex symptom management
- Facilitate communication among patients, families, and care teams regarding goals of care and treatment options
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, social workers, chaplains, and hospice teams to ensure continuity of care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and palliative care program development
- Educate patients and families on disease progression, comfort-focused care, and end-of-life planning
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with departmental and regulatory standards
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine (American Board or equivalent)
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in palliative care, preferably in hospital or hospice settings
- Western-trained background preferred
- Eligible for DOH Consultant licensure (Department of Health – Abu Dhabi)
- Strong communication, empathy, and cultural sensitivity
- Experience working within multidisciplinary teams
- Tax-free salary: AED 75,000–90,000/month (commensurate with experience)
