- Organize the store efficiently and maintain high hygiene standards.
- Ensure cleanliness in all storage areas, including shelves and chillers.
- Regularly monitor storage temperatures of chillers, freezers & dry store.
- Record temperature readings diligently.
- Communicate any temperature variations immediately to the Engineering Department and Chief Steward
- Adhere to HACCP procedures and policies to ensure food safety.
- Help in issuing food items to F&B outlets and kitchens based on approved requests from the Executive Chef.
- Report activities and any issues to the Chief Steward.
- Previous relevant experience similar role within the hospitality industry is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in food safety or hospitality management are preferred.
- Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene standards, and HACCP principles.
- Knowledge of cleaning processes and proper use of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks requiring standing, walking, and lifting throughout the shift.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with inventory management and record-keeping.
