- Reports for duty punctually always wearing the correct uniform and name badge.
- Attends the morning/evening briefing at the beginning of the shift.
- Collects the section key against signature and room report from the housekeeping office and returns them at the end of the shift.
- Cleans assigned rooms thoroughly, making the necessary arrangement in guest rooms and replenishing linen and guest supplies.
- Tidy and arrange Guest belongings when cleaning Guest rooms and bathrooms to ensure compliance with the standards of the Hotel.
- Inspects all facilities, furniture and fixtures and reports any damage to the Supervisor for action and follow-up.
- Informs Order Taker / Floor Supervisor of any missing/broken items found in rooms.
- Attends to the guest’s requests and queries courteously and promptly in the course of duty.
- Inform Valet Service to collect Guest clothes for laundry, dry cleaning or pressing to maintain Guest satisfaction.
- Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly way to protect guests and colleagues’ health, safety and security as well as protect and conserve the environment.
- Does special general cleaning in guest rooms as per housekeeping daily, weekly, and monthly schedule and occupancy level.
- Cleans staircases, corridors, windows, and pantries on the assigned floors as and when requested.
- Cleans and stores all the equipment in proper place and keeps pantries well arranged.
- Pays particular attention to busy areas outside of section such as guest elevators inside and outside, ashtrays.
- Re-stocks the trolley & pantries for the next day.
- Keeps all housekeeping areas clean and tidy.
- Present and active in the training sessions provided by the hotel and department.
- Reports any maintenance issues immediately and do not release rooms with maintenance faults.
- Assist with preventative maintenance programmes.
- Does not allow anyone to enter in guest rooms except with the approval of the Supervisors.
- Reports any suspicious behaviour immediately.
- Reports damages or missing items.
- Does not give your master keys to any team member.
- Duties not limited in rooms only but also could be assigned in the Laundry/Runner.
- Duties not limited in Rooms but also could be assigned in Public area.
- At least two years experience as a Room attendant as hotel staff or casual staff is prefered.
- Have knowledge of Housekeeping operational procedures.
- Have the ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Have the ability to communicate effectively with the team and deliver consistently.
- Ability to anticipate and focus attention on guest needs, being professional and welcoming.
- Excellent organizational skills and time management skills.
