We are seeking a Head Trader to lead and grow the physical agricultural commodities trading desk at our clients global agri trading house. This is a strategic leadership role, overseeing trading operations, market expansion, risk management, and P&L performance. The ideal candidate will have strong commercial acumen, deep market knowledge, and a well-established industry network.Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop the physical trading desk, overseeing origination, execution, and risk management.
  • Develop and execute trading strategies to maximize profitability across key agri commodity markets.
  • Manage key relationships with producers, suppliers, buyers, and logistics providers.
  • Drive market expansion by identifying new trading opportunities and structuring deals.
  • Oversee P&L performance, risk exposure, and hedging strategies (using futures, options, and OTC instruments).
  • Work closely with logistics, finance, and compliance teams to ensure seamless trade execution.
  • Lead and mentor a team of traders, fostering a high-performance trading culture.
  • Stay updated on market trends, regulatory changes, and geopolitical risks impacting the agri sector.
