
Senior Cost Manager (CSA or MEP)

- Actively participate in the tender/bid process--from initial tender/bid documentation through analysis and reporting
- Manage the change management process - identifying, analyzing, approving, and implementing changes that affect the project cost
- Analyse tenders/bids to ensure client value for money
- Assist in the preparation and agreement of final accounts, including the handling of any claims to ensure the client gets best value from works undertaken
- Create estimates and cost plans for key client developments
- Oversee project spend by creating valuations and cost reports, and clearly communicate variations to your team
- Support nimble project management and clear decisions through excellent cost documentation and timely communication
- Support the settlement of construction disputes/loss and expense claims with transparency
- Foster top performance and growth for your employees via excellent mentorship and leadership
- Have experience as a senior cost manager, ideally from a consultancy background, with detailed knowledge and experience in cost management services. Ideally a minimum 10 years experince and UAE experience is an advantage.
- Have either MEP or CSA skillset, candidates from both backgrounds welcome to apply
- Are able to lead a cost management team, ensuring that they deliver on all of the above accountabilities
- Have experience of pre-contract services from feasibility through to tendering, measurement of building works for estimating, report writing and preparation of Bills of Quantities, tender documentation and Managing the Tendering and procurement process.
- Have experience producing pre-contract, post-contract and ad-hoc reports and presenting them to the client
- Are comfortable interfacing with the client, contractors and other consultants, at all project stages
- Have a degree or comparable experience in a cost management or construction discipline.
- Are chartered or are on the path to complete it. MRICS preferred
- Have good knowledge of construction industry technical matters, such as cost plan, estimation, different procurement routes, value management and value engineering. Knowledge of CostX preferred
- Are an excellent communicator verbally and in writing
