The Civil Engineer will work under the guidance of the Resident as part of the construction supervision team for major STP and wastewater infrastructure projects in Dubai. The role involves supervision of the construction, upgrading, and rehabilitation of sewage treatment plants, pumping stations, associated pipelines, and related civil works, ensuring compliance with approved designs, specifications, and local authority requirements.Job Duties· Develop and implement QA/QC procedures applicable to STP and pumping station works, including inspections, test plans, and method statements.· Conduct and follow up on inspections for installations, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.· Monitor and review inspectors' performance on a regular basis, providing guidance where necessary.· Update and report progress for all assigned works to the Project Manager for inclusion in project reports.· Review and verify updated records to ensure accurate preparation of as-built documentation.· Check, verify, and coordinate for all assigned services, including civil, structural, and MEP interfaces.· Coordinate with the Head Office design team for material submittal reviews, design queries, and technical clarifications.· Oversee and inspect construction activities for STP pipelines, sewers, manholes, valve chambers (VC), washout chambers (WO), air valves (AV), connection chambers, pumping station structures, and non-disruptive road crossings.· Ensure strict adherence to HSE standards during all site activities.· Support in resolving site-related technical issues and provide input for potential design modifications.QualificationsQualifications· Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.Experience· Minimum of 10 years' relevant experience in the design, construction, and site supervision of STPs, pumping stations, and wastewater infrastructure.· Demonstrated experience in STP pipelines, sewers, manholes, VC, WO, AV, connection chambers, and non-disruptive road crossings.· Proven knowledge and hands-on experience in STP and pumping station design principles.· Middle East / UAE experience preferred, particularly in Dubai Municipality projects.Additional InformationAbout AECOMAECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
