Position descriptionJob titleGang Leader M/FContract typeTemporary work contractContractual hoursFull timeContract duration1 year with possible extensionEmployee StatusOperativeJob descriptionWe currently have an opportunity within SPIE Oil & Gas Services Middle East LLC for an:Gang LeaderJob Purpose:This position is a unique opportunity for you to work on DEWA Substations Projects and be responsible for Supervising the departmental / contracts site works of 11 kV, and 33kV Substation installation & Commissioning in order to ensure quality & Safety and timely completion of ProjectsYour main duties will be to:-- To study the CAR with ring diagram & to understand NOC drawings
- Locating underground service & Cable tracing with cable locators.
- Control over the labors and site activities
- Fit to work at site during extreme weather conditions.
- Installation of pilot, FO Cables and FO Ducts as required.
- Capable to take job related decisions in day today execution
- Daily follow-up and reporting to the superiors regarding site progress
- Site coordination with party contractors and plot owners.
- Miscellaneous urgent jobs assigned by supervisor/ foreman/ManagerProfileIdeally, you will have graduated in Diploma (Electrical Engineering) / 2 Years ITI Electrical with a minimum experience of 3 years in HV / LV cable, Pilot cable and FO duct installation.You have good communication skills and English proficiencyYou will have good interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as, a good level of computer literacy and be proficient in Microsoft Office.Working at SPIEWhat can we offer you?We offer annual ticket allowance and insurance coverage.Position locationLocationDubai, UAECandidate criteriaMinimum level of experience required3 years or moreRequired authorisationsGCC Driving License is mandatory.
