The Bartender at voco Dubai The Palm will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages while delivering exceptional guest service in a vibrant beachfront setting. This role requires strong product knowledge, excellent presentation skills, and the ability to create a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for guests.What You'll Do
- Maintain complete knowledge of cocktails, beverages, and wines to advise guests and colleagues as needed
- Take guest orders promptly and professionally, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
- Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and presentation guidelines
- Process payments and manage transactions in line with cashiering procedures
- Maintain par levels of stock and ensure compliance with hygiene and food safety standards
- Prepare the bar area and ensure mise-en-place is ready for service before opening
- Ensure guest orders are correct, presented attractively, and served in a timely manner
- Perform opening, closing, and cleaning duties as per checklists
- Assist with stock-taking of beverages and operating equipment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-equipped bar area at all times
- Provide attentive service to meet and exceed guest expectations, including those with special needs
- Adhere to occupational health and safety policies and guidelines
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within a hospitality or luxury hotel environment
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English
- Outgoing and friendly personality with a passion for delivering service excellence
- Strong teamwork mentality and flexibility to handle diverse tasks
- Ability to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
