Laboratory Coordinator

• Actively supports faculty members in the development of hands-on lab tutorials and assignments.
• Supervises the laboratory sessions assigned by the College's Assistant Dean.
• Provides advice and assistance to students during the designated lab sessions by answering their questions and, preferably, guiding them to find answers to their own questions.
• Evaluates students' performance and grades the assigned tutorials and lab reports when requested.
• Provide support to the ZU Cisco Regional Academy when requested.
• Teaches one CTI course during each regular semester, as part of his/her regular duties.
• Supports and mentors students conduct lab tutorials and complete special projects outside regular class-time.
• Coordinates with the laboratory technician for lab resources, customizes labs for faculty teaching as well as individual lab needs, and maintains a safe and orderly laboratory environment.
• Engages students in the process of scientific inquiry and research.
• Attends selected course lectures when requested.
• Holds regular office hours each week, in consultation with the Assistant Dean.
• Proctors assigned midterm and final exams upon request from the Assistant Dean.
• Provides feedback to course instructors on students' learning challenges, progress and achievements based on own observations during the lab sessions.
• Performs other job-related duties, as assigned by the Dean/designee.

• Must have a Bachelor degree in IT/CS or a closely-related field from an accredited institution and 4 years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience including a minimum of 1 year of lab/teaching assistance experience in an academic environment will be an asset.
• Sound Knowledge of Programming languages, web development tools and technologies, databases, mobile programming, networking, and virtualized / multi- Operating System environments.
• Arabic/English bilingual- preferred.
• Desirable skills: CCNA and Security + certifications.
