- Implement and enforce the companys Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures on site.
- Conduct daily site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Coordinate and conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions for all workers and subcontractors.
- Maintain and update safety logs, inspection checklists, and incident/accident reports.
- Investigate incidents and near misses, determine root causes, and recommend corrective/preventive actions.
- Liaise with site engineers, foremen, and subcontractors to ensure safety measures are integrated into the daily work plan.
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all site personnel.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with UAE labor laws and local safety authority standards (e.g., DM, Trakhees, HSEAD, etc.)
- Assist in preparing safety reports for internal management and external stakeholders.
- Support emergency preparedness and response plans on site.
- Diploma or Bachelors Degree in a relevant field (Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or equivalent).
- Minimum 7 years of experience in HSE roles within the construction industry, with at least 5 years in the UAE/Gulf region.
- Must hold relevant certifications such as NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, or equivalent.
- Knowledge of local authority requirements and international safety standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in report writing and use of MS Office applications.
- Must be currently based in the UAE.
