Together, we lead and leave a positive impact on societies, companies and people around the world.You will join our Geostructures departmentAs our new Principal Geotechnical Engineer, Buildings you will be part of our global High-Rise and Complex Buildings department, Ramboll's dedicated team of high-rise experts which have designed over 200 tall building projects globally, including some of the most technically challenging. You would be responsible for working with engineers for design work in the High-Rise department in the Dubai office and supporting the global department which also has offices in India, United Kingdom, Singapore and other locations.Job DescriptionYour key tasks and responsibilities will be:
  • Leading the provision of geostructures advice and design to a multi-disciplinary project team taking technical and commercial geotechnical delivery for projects
  • Supervising the planning and delivery of Geostructures analysis using various proprietary tools
  • Guiding less experienced engineers to deliver analysis and design
  • Assisting in the career development of others
  • Providing new ideas or approaches to ground engineering challenges
  • Carrying out research and development of new ideas and products to enable Ramboll to provide sustainable solutions for society
  • Carrying out technical and commercial bidding for new projects and contracts
  • Supporting the team leader to build the Geostructures business in Denmark and overseas.
QualificationsFrom the moment you join Ramboll, we will support your personal and professional development so that you grow with the company. For this role, we believe your starting point is:
  • Good quality BEng degree with reasonable geotechnical engineering or engineering geology content
  • A masters degree or higher that focuses on geotechnical engineering or engineering geology would be of benefit but this can be replaced with good industry experience of more than 15 years
  • Proven ability to guide and supervise complex analyses retaining structures or complex foundations
  • Past experience of rock engineering and/or geo-seismic engineering would be a benefit
  • Good written and oral communication skills in English, and Danish or German
  • Good experience of the use of commercial controls needed to deliver work in a manner that meets our business objectives
