Job DescriptionSenior Materials manReporting To: Materials Team Lead / Receiving Team LeadJOB PURPOSEResponsible for the receipt, storage, transport, issuance, and recovery of materials in the base. Providing support to all the offshore platforms, drilling rigs, construction projects and the Repair and Return Workshops (RRW). Organise the safe storage of all materials and maintaining the quality, accuracy, and count of Company stock. Receive new purchase order materials from local and international vendors. Issue required Desktop Transfer Requisitions (DTR's), Move Orders or Work Orders for onshore, offshore, projects and drilling. Conduct periodic audits and raising inspection work orders for new or used materials at the Repair and Return Workshop (RRW). Recover all unused DTR and work order materials not required by the end users. Ship vendor rental equipment to offshore as per the Company Safety Cargo Carrying Appliances (CCA) Checklist. Return off-rental equipment back to the respective vendors. Arrange the periodic inspection & certification of Company Cargo Carrying Units as per the Company lifting procedures. Ensure that all activities carried out in the base are as per the Company Health, Safety, Environment and Operational Integrity (HSEOI) policies & procedures. Maintain the whole facility in an environmentally friendly manner and in compliance with the company processed and procedures.RESPONSIBILITIES· Receive and inspect all incoming purchase order materials from both international (sea/air freight) and the local market. Ensures all items received are in good condition, of good quality and not damaged in any way. That all items are fit for purpose and as per the Item Master description in Oracle.· Supervises and helps Materialsman in the identification of materials which are not as per the item master specifications. Raise Quality Non-Conformances for sub-standard and incorrect materials received and initiates the return, refund, or replacement of such items with Procurement team in a timely manner. For international rejected materials, coordinate with the Company Freight Team, and the overseas vendor in shipping these back to the country of origin.· Process all acceptable items as per Item Master in Oracle and take into warehouse stock. Print the Goods Receipts report in Oracle for all the materials that are to be binned in the respective racks and bin locations. For any discrepancy reported during binning, work closely with the Inventory Planning and Cataloguing Coordinator in resolving these issues. Organise the proper preservation, binning and storage of all new and existing stock materials in the warehouse and external storage locations.· Ensure that critical purchase order materials are promptly dispatched to operational areas as required. Coordinate and sends new purchase order items to the RRW workshop that require functional testing, technical inspections, hydro/pressure testing, sand blasting or special coatings.· Process and issue the relevant Desktop Transfer Requisitions (DTR) and Work Orders in Oracle of all outgoing materials to offshore, projects, the drilling rigs, RRW workshops and the main office complex. Download the outstanding Issues Report so such orders are dispatched as per the required date.· All offshore projects and drilling rig materials are packed and sent in appropriate Cargo Carrying Units (CCU) – containers or baskets – via JAOSB Marine. For Company vendor rental equipment, ensure that their CCU's comply with the Company Cargo Carrying Checklist. Coordinate with JAOSB Marine office, the offshore Warehouse coordinator and Admin/Logistics Supervisor of all items sent.· Recover unused items from offshore, the RRW workshops or main office and place the material back in stock. Create work orders in Oracle for that category of items that require specific inspection, before placing in stock.· Audit and inspects the quality, count and condition of materials in the base and external storage locations. Download the inventory balance report from Oracle and performs the physical inspection, accurate counting and evaluating the condition of materials on hand. Conduct daily, weekly or monthly audits of all inventories and assists with the Receiving Team Lead in resolving discrepancies and quality issues. Assist both the company's and external government auditors during audits of inventory stock.· Assist the Materials Team Lead in the disposal or surplus of items and equipment no longer required as per Company operations. Provide coordination and support to all parties involved.· Ensure the warehouse and external materials storage locations are maintained in a neat, clean and safe manner. Help segregate waste (metal, plastic, wood) and assists in disposing it off appropriately.· Follow the Company Health, Safety, Environment and Operational Integrity (HSEOI) policies and procedures regarding Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), chemicals, radioactive materials, Task Risk Assessments(TRA) and Permit to Work (PTW).· Report all incidents, near misses and potential safety hazards to the Materials Team Lead and assists in incident investigation, analysis and recommendations to avoid recurrences.· Supervise the contractor workforce, evaluate their job performance and provide necessary training to maintain overall productivity and quality of work. Update their Time Sheet cards in Oracle.· Oversee the forklift and crane operations, their operators and associate riggers. Ensure that all follow and observe Company safety lifting procedures when performing lifts or transporting cargo appliances and heavy equipment.· Get all the forklifts, cranes, pipe loaders and trailers regularly serviced for continuous operation.· Provide vacation relief for other Senior Materialsmen, the Materials Team Lead and receiving Team Lead.· Is a member of the JAOSB Emergency Response or Fire Team· Participate in STAR (Stop, Talk, Agree, Review) tours, prepares safety topics for both the tailgate and monthly safety meetings.REQUIREMENTSEducational Qualifications:· Completion of secondary (12 Years) education.· 3 years additional technical or administrative training.Experience Profile:· 10 years work experience with materials in the Oil & Gas industry.Competencies/Skills/Others:· Ability to work productively, efficiently & effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail and quality.· Fluent in English oral and written.· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and sound knowledge of Oracle.· Good analytical skills, prompt decision making.· Leadership skills and be an excellent team player.· Willingness to learn, improve and adapt.· Excellent personal organisation and business administration skills in accordance with modern best practice methods.· Excellent verbal and written communication skills for a demanding and customer focused working environment.· Valid United Arab Emirates (UAE) Driving LicenseLOCATION: Dubai, UAETagged as:
