- The PDA will conduct extensive channel measurement campaigns to provide a comprehensive characterization of the ISAC channel models characterizing the interaction between sensing and communication. The PDA is also expected to contribute to optical channel modeling, particularly for comparative analysis with THz bands, where RF signals exhibit quasi-optical properties.
- The PDA is expected to actively disseminate results through publications in high-impact journals and presentations at leading international conferences.
- The PDA is expected to contribute to the intellectual property development through patent filings, as well as participating in standardization efforts relevant to wireless technologies, in coordination with academic and industrial collaborators.
- Applicants must hold a PhD degree in electrical/electronics engineering, telecommunications or related field. Other requirements include
- Expertise in several areas among the following is desired: radio system modeling, electromagnetics, antennas, propagation, RF frontends, radar.
- Demonstrated expertise in channel modeling and characterization
- Hands-on experience with RF and/or optical measurement setups, including the design and execution of channel sounding or propagation measurement campaigns
- Experience with RF/optical ray tracing simulation software, e.g., Wireless Insite, Zemax
- Proven track record of publications in relevant IEEE journals and conferences
- Cover letter
- Curriculum vitae with complete publication list
- BSc, MSc and PhD transcripts
- Research statement elaborating how you plan to contribute to the above research topics
- Contact details of at least three references.
