About the RoleAs part of our global Agile transformation, we are expanding our Agile Release Trains (ARTs) across Cigna’s Middle East and Africa region, seeking an experienced Release Train Engineer (RTE) to lead and facilitate Agile delivery at scale. This is a unique opportunity to shape and evolve our SAFe Agile practices across a dynamic, multi-national organization.Key ResponsibilitiesFacilitate PI Planning: Lead the preparation and execution of Program Increment (PI) Planning, including readiness activities such as vision alignment, backlog grooming, and stakeholder engagement.Coach and Mentor: Guide Agile teams, Scrum Masters, and leadership on SAFe principles, Lean-Agile mindset, and continuous improvement practices.Optimize Flow of Value: Use tools like Kanban systems and flow metrics to manage and improve the delivery pipeline across the ART.Drive Execution: Support teams in delivering Features and Capabilities, ensuring alignment with PI objectives and business outcomes.Facilitate ART Ceremonies: Lead ART-level events including Art Sync, Coach Synch, System Demos, Inspect & Adapt workshops, and PI retrospectives.Manage Risks and Dependencies: Identify and resolve cross-team risks, impediments, and dependencies to ensure smooth delivery.Support Lean Portfolio Management: Collaborate with Product Management and Business Owners to align strategy and execution, support Epic and Capability estimation, and contribute to portfolio-level planning.Promote Collaboration: Foster strong communication and alignment between Product Owners, Product Managers, Architects, UX, and other stakeholders.Enable Continuous Improvement: Champion a culture of relentless improvement through metrics, feedback loops, and innovation.Ensure Transparency: Provide visibility into ART progress, risks, and performance through effective reporting and stakeholder communication.Required Skills & ExperienceProven experience as an RTE, Agile Coach, Program Manager, or Product Owner in a SAFe environment.SAFe RTE Certification strongly preferred.Deep understanding of SAFe principles, Lean-Agile practices, and Agile delivery at scale.Strong background in IT application development and software delivery.Experience leading large-scale Agile transformations and managing multiple Agile teams.Skilled in Lean Thinking, Systems Thinking, and Agile metrics.Excellent facilitation, coaching, and communication skills.Experience with Lean Portfolio Management and working with senior stakeholders.Ability to lead with empathy, influence without authority, and drive change across diverse teams.About Cigna HealthcareCigna Healthcare, a division of The Cigna Group, is an advocate for better health through every stage of life.
