Job Description:Buying & Category ManagementLead and manage the entire buying process, across Home Fragrance brands and product lines, in order to ensure right and commercially viable product ranges, customer satisfaction, improvement on year-on-year sales, margins and stock levels.Inspire the buying team to think creatively, in order to deliver newness in the product range.Oversee category management in order to ensure maximization of sales and profitability.Manage financial goals including pre-season plans, in-season projections, open-to-buy etc. in order to support retail requirements, whilst maintaining alignment with financial parameters.Lead the process of aligning the merchandising planners with the OTB to ensure that the right assortment is delivered to the storesResponsibilities:Technical & Commercial Skills
  • Strong commercial acumen with understanding of margins, costings, and retail math.
  • Skilled in vendor negotiations and product lifecycle management.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Optimised assortment building, stock and end-to- end category management.
Creative & Aesthetic Skills☐ Demonstrates strong design sensibility in selecting or developing fragrance products.☐ Understands how scent, packaging, color, and naming work together as a unified story- concept and story-telling.☐ Capable of building seasonal and thematic collections (e.g., Ramadan, wellness, gifting).☐ Can create clear and inspiring product briefs or mood boards for new fragrance concepts.☐ Collaborates effectively with packaging designers and visual merchandising teams.☐ Has a good eye for materials, bottle shapes, textures, and finishes that appeal to the target market.Qualifications:Trend Awareness & Innovation Insight☐ Tracks global trends in fragrance, wellness, beauty, and interior decor.☐ Uses trend tools (e.g., WGSN, Pinterest, Instagram, trade fairs) to inspire assortment planning.☐ Anticipates shifts in consumer mindset (e.g., clean beauty, mindfulness, nostalgia).☐ Spots early signs of lifestyle-based scent needs (e.g., sleep, focus, calm, mood enhancement).☐ Incorporates trending ingredients or scent accords in product selection.About Us:Our journey started in 1973 with a single store in Bahrain.
