- Ensure structured and timely system handover from construction and commissioning teams to operations or the client, in alignment with project milestones and contractual requirements.
- Establish and execute a robust turnover management plan, including Mechanical Completion (MC), Ready for Commissioning (RFC), and Ready for Start-Up (RFSU) protocols.
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration across engineering, QA/QC, commissioning, and operations teams to drive punch list closure and system readiness.
- Manage the preparation and delivery of complete handover documentation, including as-built drawings, test results, and certifications, ensuring compliance with client standards.
- Utilize completions management systems (e.g., ICAPS, WinPCS, GoCompletions) to monitor progress, track deliverables, and generate turnover reports.
- Facilitate final inspections, walkdowns, and system acceptance reviews, ensuring all required approvals and documentation are in place.
- Promote safe and efficient turnover practices
- Develop and implement the system turnover strategy, ensuring alignment with project milestones, commissioning schedules, and client contractual requirements.
- Coordinate the Mechanical Completion (MC), Ready for Commissioning (RFC), and Ready for Start-Up (RFSU) processes, in collaboration with construction, QA/QC, and commissioning teams.
- Manage the preparation and handover of system dossiers, including as-built drawings, test reports, inspection records, and operation & maintenance manuals in line with client and regulatory standards.
- Lead system walkdowns and punch list management, ensuring closure of all outstanding items prior to handover to commissioning or operations.
- Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of turnover progress using completions management tools (e.g., ICAPS, WinPCS, GoCompletions), and generate weekly or monthly progress reports.
- Facilitate handover reviews, audits, and verification meetings, serving as the key interface between project execution teams and client representatives for turnover matters.
- Ensure documentation readiness and quality assurance in support of final acceptance and project closeout, including coordination of turnover certificates and approval workflows.
- Support HSE compliance throughout the turnover process, identifying potential safety risks during handovers and ensuring proper documentation and controls are in place.
- Provide leadership and mentoring to completions and turnover coordinators, fostering cross-functional collaboration and accountability across project teams.
- In conjunction with the Engineering Manager, manages succession planning for direct reports.
- Provides coaching and mentoring for direct reports.
- Actively supports recruitment, selection, transfers and promotion of resources to meet succession and business plans.
- Support the development and retention of motivated and qualified people.
- Ensures support and set performance expectations of direct reports.
- Continuous promotion of, and adherence to, the discipline specific procedures and providing feedback for continuous improvement.
- Support the development and delivery of the technical assurance framework.

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Chemical Engineering (or equivalent technical discipline).
- Minimum of 20 years of progressive experience in project completions, turnover management, or systems handover within the oil & gas, energy, or large industrial sectors.
- Extensive hands-on involvement across the full project lifecycle, with a strong focus on Mechanical Completion (MC), Ready for Commissioning (RFC), and Ready for Start-Up (RFSU) processes.
- Proven leadership in managing multi-discipline turnover teams, coordinating with construction, QA/QC, commissioning, and operations functions.
- Proficient in using completions management systems such as ICAPS, WinPCS, or Go Completions to track turnover progress and documentation.
- Deep knowledge of Mechanical Completion (MC), Ready for Commissioning (RFC), and Ready for Start-Up (RFSU) workflows.
- Experienced in preparing, reviewing, and delivering complete handover dossiers including as-built drawings, test reports, and certifications.
- Skilled in coordinating punch list generation, closure, and system walkdowns to meet handover requirements.
- Strong understanding of cross-discipline interfaces among construction, commissioning, QA/QC, and operations teams.
- Strong leadership and coordination skills to interface with multi-discipline site teams, contractors, and vendors
- Excellent problem-solving aptitude and situational decision-making, especially under time-critical conditions
- Sound knowledge of safety protocols and a demonstrated commitment to safe work practices
- Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Flexibility to work in remote or challenging site environments and adjust to project timelines
