- Lead and define the business development strategy, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Drive growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, including new markets, channels, and strategic partnerships.
- Provide leadership and direction to the business development team, fostering a culture of innovation and high performance.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to identify key areas of expansion and investment in the Telecom BSS sector.
- Monitor industry trends, market shifts, and competitive landscape to anticipate and capitalize on emerging opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including C-level executives, across telecom service providers and enterprise accounts.
- Oversee the management of key customer accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
- Negotiate complex contracts and agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial terms for both the company and clients.
- Manage and mentor a high-performing team of business development professionals, ensuring alignment with company goals and achieving sales targets.
- Foster collaboration between business development, marketing, and product teams to create tailored solutions and marketing strategies for clients.
- Act as a thought leader in the Telecom BSS space, representing the company at industry events,
- Build and nurture relationships with industry influencers, analysts, and potential partners to enhance the company’s visibility and reputation.
- Continuously analyse the telecom market to identify and pursue new trends, technological advancements, and business models.
- Experience: 18+ years in Business development, Sales and Account Management.
- Product/Domain experience: 5+ years of experience in Telecom OSS/BSS space.
- Leadership Skills: Proven track record of leading and managing high-performing business development
- Client Engagement: Experience in managing high-value accounts and building relationships with C-level
- Sales Expertise: Expertise in complex sales processes, strategic deal negotiations, and closing high-value contracts.
- Communication: Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to assess business opportunities, market trends, and competitive landscapes.
- Travel: Willingness to travel as required to engage with clients and attend industry events.
- Exposure to emerging technologies like AI , SaaS etc is a good to have.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proactive and results-oriented with a focus on achieving and exceeding targets.
- Ability to navigate complex, global telecom markets and organizational structures.
