Our client in Dubai is seeking an experienced Technical Superintendent to join their technical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the safe, efficient, and compliant technical management of Offshore Support Vessels (OSVs).ResponsibilitiesManage the day-to-day technical operations of assigned OSVs, ensuring vessels are operated safely, efficiently, and within budget.Supervise planned maintenance, repairs, and spare parts management, coordinating closely with onboard teams.Plan, budget, and execute dry-dockings, major repairs, and statutory/class surveys.Ensure compliance with flag state, classification societies, IMO conventions, and company SMS policies.Prepare and monitor technical budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and operational readiness.Provide technical troubleshooting and guidance to vessel engineers and crew.Conduct regular vessel inspections, audits, and follow-up actions.Promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement across all vessels.Act as a key liaison with charterers, classification societies, and external stakeholders.RequirementsClass 1 Certificate of Competency (Chief Engineer) - Mandatory.Minimum 1 year of shore-based experience as Technical Superintendent (preferably with OSVs such as AHTS, PSV, or DSV).Strong knowledge of ISM/ISPS Codes, SOLAS, MARPOL, and offshore industry standards.Proven track record in dry-docking, maintenance planning, and budget control.Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.Proficiency in PMS/ERP systems and MS Office.Willingness to travel locally for vessel visits and inspections.
