We ask employees to be present in the office at least three days per week.Are you ready to bring the right energy to Petrofac and help us deliver a better future for everyone?JOB TITLE: PRINCIPAL ENGINEER – QUALITY.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Review procurement documents to ensure that Welding related requirements have been correctly translated into purchase requisitions and design documents.
  • Develop, Review and approve Vendor & Site Sub-Contractor ITPs, QCPs, WPS and ITRs based on corporate standards.
  • Coordinate with the customers representative on all quality Welding related matters.
  • Coordinate for failure analysis and root cause analysis on welding related issues.
  • Plan, conduct, track and report welding engineering investigations.
  • Monitoring Welding Procedure and Welder Qualifications.
  • Verify that the Welding related site activities are in accordance with the applicable codes and standards.
  • Monitor and control of sub-contractor Welding repair rate.
  • Participate in the internal and external site audits.
  • Control all non-conformance reports related to welding and undertake remedial action.
  • Review the customers specification and undertake relevant training to the site Welding inspectors.
  • Monitor the implementation of the approved site QC Plan.
  • Complete and coordinate the approval of the sites QC technical submittals related to Welding to the customer.
  • Assure all technical welding documents relative to site quality control are current status.
  • Report major welding issues to corporate quality which need to be circulated as a quality alert.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical or Metallurgy Engineering or equivalent.
  • International Welding Engineer (IWE), CSWP 3.2.2, NDT PCN Level 2 certifications.
  • Certified European Welding Engineer (preferred).
  • Minimum years of experience as a Welding Engineer preferably in Oil & Gas, Offshore projects.
  • Should have previously worked with a major EPC contractor.
