Join us.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Resident Engineer to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As an integral part of our construction engineering and management division, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of various infrastructure projects in the region.

Assist the Resident Engineer in overseeing day-to-day construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations
Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to coordinate work activities and resolve technical issues
Review and analyze project documents, including drawings, specifications, and contract documents
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets
Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, progress updates, and change orders
Participate in project meetings and communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members
Assist in the review and approval of contractor submittals, RFIs, and payment applications
Support the development and implementation of innovative solutions to optimize project efficiency and performance
Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment
Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes and best practices

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in construction engineering and management
Valid driver's license
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and quality control practices
Proficiency in project management software and CAD tools
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Familiarity with local construction codes and practices in Abu Dhabi and the UAE
Goal-oriented mindset with a commitment to meeting project objectives
Adaptability and willingness to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications:

Professional Engineer License
Experience with a wide range of construction projects, including infrastructure and building construction
Knowledge of sustainable construction practices and LEED certification processes
Proficiency in Arabic (written and spoken)
