We are here to help our clients meet these evolving energy needs.This is an exciting time to join us on this journey.Are you ready to bring the right energy to Petrofac and help us deliver a better future for everyone?Job Title: HVAC Senior Commissioning Technician - Oil & GasJob Summary:The HVAC Commissioning Technician is responsible for executing the pre-commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of HVAC systems in oil & gas facilities, including offshore platforms, refineries, and processing plants. The role ensures that HVAC systems are installed and functioning according to design specifications, safety standards, and operational requirements.Key Responsibilities:

Participate in the installation, connection and tuning of a variety of equipment as per job assignment at various locations as required by clients.
Implement modification and enhancement of various equipment
Maintain a record of all tools and test equipment utilized and ensure their availability
Be continually present in the field to execute the work.
In close coordination with contractors (when on site) undertakes the installation of equipment and ensures that performance of the equipment is within agreed standards and requirements.
Ensure compliance with HSSE policies/practices and Zero incidents, LTIs.
Ensure availability of proper instrument/equipment before starting the job.
Conduct Pre-/Commissioning-related testing activities at site.
Ensures correct tool packages are available along with detailed comprehensive commissioning procedures for individual jobs.
Perform any other related duties and responsibilities as and when directed by Supervisor.
Preform pre-commissioning and commissioning of HVAC systems including chillers, air handling units (AHUs), fan coil units (FCUs), ductwork, and ventilation systems.
Conduct functional performance tests, airflow balancing, and system start-up checks.
Verify system operation against design and control logic.
Identify and resolve issues related to electrical connections, control systems, and mechanical components.
Documentation & Reporting:

Complete pre-/commissioning checklists, test reports, and punch lists.
Maintain accurate records of system performance and modifications.
Safety & Compliance:

Ensure all work is performed in accordance with HSE policies and procedures.
Adhere to standards for hazardous area equipment (e.g., ATEX, IECEx).
Team Collaboration:

Work closely with commissioning engineers, supervisors, and other trades.
Support vendor representatives during equipment start-up and testing.

Qualifications & Skills:

Diploma or technical certification in HVAC, Mechanical Engineering.
5+ years of experience in HVAC commissioning, with at least 2 years in oil & gas projects.
Strong understanding of HVAC systems in industrial and hazardous environments.
Familiarity with BMS, control systems, and HVAC instrumentation.
Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and control schematics.
Certifications in HVAC, safety (e.g., H2S, Confined Space), or ATEX are advantageous.
