In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, integration, testing, and lifecycle support of hydraulic systems used across ADASI's advanced UAV platforms. These include landing gear, flight control actuators, weapon release systems, and auxiliary hydraulic functions. Your expertise will ensure that these systems are safe, reliable, and compliant with aerospace and defense standards-supporting the mission-readiness of some of the most advanced unmanned systems in the region.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and manage system-level requirements and performance specifications for hydraulic systemsDesign and maintain hydraulic circuit diagrams and interface control documents (ICDs)Select and integrate key hydraulic components including pumps, valves, reservoirs, and actuatorsConduct system-level trade studies and ensure alignment with platform constraintsPerform analysis and simulations for pressure, flow, contamination control, and thermal effectsDefine and support verification and testing activities including pressure, leak, and endurance testsEnsure compliance with aerospace standards including MIL-STD-810, DO-160, and fluid specificationsMaintain comprehensive technical documentation and support airworthiness and certification processesCollaborate with airframe, avionics, controls, and manufacturing teams to deliver fully integrated solutionsEngage suppliers and participate in design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR) to ensure quality and performanceRequired QualificationsEducation:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Fluid Power/Systems Engineering (required)Master's degree in a related specialization (preferred)Experience:Minimum 8 years in aerospace/defense industries, with at least 4 years focused on hydraulic systemsExperience with UAVs, military aircraft, or rotorcraft is highly desirableCertifications:INCOSE ASEP or CSEP (preferred)OEM or specialized hydraulic training (advantageous)Familiarity with AS9100D or ISO 9001 quality systems (preferred)Technical ToolsSimulation: SimHydraulics, Amesim, MATLAB/SimulinkCAD: CATIA, NX, SolidWorksStandards: MIL-STD-810, DO-160, MIL-PRF-5606/MIL-PRF-83282, AS9100Documentation & requirements: Technical writing, compliance tracking, FMEA, and interface specsIdeal AttributesStrong systems-thinking approach and interdisciplinary collaboration skillsDetail-oriented, analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilityClear communicator with the ability to simplify complex technical dataTeam player who thrives in fast-paced, high-stakes defense environmentsAdaptive, proactive, and committed to engineering excellenceWhy Join ADASIAt ADASI, you'll work with some of the brightest minds in the defense and aerospace industry.
